Taos Mutual Aid Team — Community members trained and ready to support Taos County and all of north central New Mexico. Mutual aid begins with a simple belief: we are one community. There are no different categories of people deserving different levels of care. We show up for each other — together. What is a mutual aid team? Mutual aid is one of the oldest ideas in human communities — neighbors taking care of neighbors, voluntarily sharing skills, time, and resources for the common good. The Taos Mutual Aid Team pairs that tradition with core disaster capabilities, so that when our community faces a moment of exception, we already know each other, we're already trained, and we're already organized. What the team does: - Planned events: Concerts, fairs, protests, and community gatherings — trained safety support. - Severe weather response: Supporting 24-hour emergency shelter operations. - Mass care and sheltering: Feeding, sheltering, and coordinating volunteers. - Community preparedness: Day-to-day engagement that builds skills and relationships. - Incident response: All-hazards support across the full range of emergencies. - Community connections: Joining forces with organizations already doing good work in Taos. What you'll get as a member — Free core training: CPR (Adult & Infant), Stop the Bleed, Narcan administration, Radio communications, First aid, Disaster core skills, Safety monitoring, Community volunteering. Who we are: We're neighbors, volunteers, and community members from throughout the Enchanted Circle committed to taking care of each other. We train together so we can show up together, and strengthen our community for whatever comes. Taos Mutual Aid Team · Taos, New Mexico
